What to expect: Non-stop activity is the theme here, beginning with stretching by the pool in the morning. Step aerobics or pool aerobics follow. Later there are handicrafts, Spanish lessons, bingo, games, cocktail-mixing lessons, dance classes, beach volleyball, pool basketball, water-balloon fights, and fashion shows. After-dinner activities include karaoke, casino night, and shows produced by the resort's entertainment staff. Each night the resort provides one-way transportation to a selected Canc?n nightclub. Amenity highlights: Sunning opportunities abound, including ample space on a terrace running along the entire front of the resort above the white-sand beach. Within the terrace is a three-section pool connected by narrow channels, which are crossed by bridges. (One section is for children.) Thatch-roof palapas interspersed with gardens offer shade. Insider tip: As part of the All-Inclusive Plan, guests are entitled to use pools and beaches and dine and drink in restaurants and bars at all other Palace Resorts: the Sun Palace, the Moon Palace south of Canc?n Island; and at two Palace Resorts on the Riviera Maya, Xpu-Ha Palace and Aventura Spa Palace, about 50 miles south of Canc?n. Transportation, however, is not provided. The Beach Palace, about 15 minutes away by public bus, offers a children's center that's open to Canc?n Palace guests.
